Bocchi Scala Arch — Undermount Basin in Four Finishes for Pakistan
The Bocchi Scala Arch is the four-finish undermount basin in the Bocchi range at Sardar & Co — the undercounter basin that expands the available finish palette beyond the two options of the Bocchi Parma. Where the Parma undercounter offers Gloss White and Black (Glossy), the Scala Arch adds Matte White and Matte Black: four finishes covering the full premium bathroom palette direction for undercounter basin specifications in Pakistan's luxury market.
The "Arch" designation identifies the Scala Arch's defining bowl geometry: a curved, arched interior bowl profile — the underside of the basin hangs in an arch shape below the counter surface, with the internal bowl curving from the basin walls inward and downward toward the drain. This arch profile creates a naturally self-directing bowl interior — water flows toward the drain along the curved surface — and gives the basin a more pronounced presence below the counter plane than a flat-bottomed alternative.
The Matte Black finish is the Scala Arch's most distinctive specification at Sardar & Co. No other Bocchi undercounter basin at Sardar & Co is available in Matte Black — the Parma undercounter offers Gloss Black but not Matte Black. For Pakistan's premium bathrooms specifying matte black hardware, matte black taps, and dark material counters, the Matte Black Scala Arch undermount basin is the only Bocchi undercounter specification that continues the matte dark material language below the counter surface.
Available exclusively at Sardar & Co. Call 0300-0341288 for pricing.
⚠ Installation and specification notes:
Counter cutting required: The Scala Arch undermount basin requires a precise cut opening in the counter surface. Confirm the cut-out template dimensions with Sardar & Co at 0300-0341288 before sending dimensions to your stone fabricator.
No fixture hole: Tap must be installed through the counter surface (hole drilled by fabricator during counter fabrication) or as a wall-mounted spout above the basin.
Bowl drop: The Shopify data shows two Width entries (550mm and 210mm) — 550mm is the external basin width; 210mm is interpreted as the approximate bowl depth below the counter surface. Confirm precise bowl drop with Sardar & Co at 0300-0341288 before specifying counter thickness.

Scala Arch vs Parma — Choosing Between the Two Bocchi Undermount Basins
Two undermount basins are available in the Bocchi range at Sardar & Co. The finish palette and bowl geometry are the deciding factors:
| Specification | Scala Arch (this) | Parma |
|---|---|---|
| Finishes | 4 — Gloss White, Matte White, Black, Matte Black | 2 — Gloss White, Black (Glossy) |
| Matte Black | ✓ Yes | ✗ No |
| Matte White | ✓ Yes | ✗ No |
| Bowl profile | Arch — curved interior | Standard |
| Width | 550mm | 560mm |
| Depth (plan) | 410mm | 450mm |
| Bowl drop | ~210mm | ~185mm |
| Overflow | Yes | Yes |
| Tap hole | None | None |
Choose the Scala Arch for: matte-palette specifications (Matte Black or Matte White counter finish direction), four-finish flexibility, the arched bowl profile, or a slightly more compact plan footprint (410mm vs 450mm depth). Choose the Parma for: standard specifications in Gloss White or Gloss Black with a slightly wider basin (560mm) and shallower bowl drop. Contact Sardar & Co at 0300-0341288 for guidance.
The Four Finishes — Matte Black and Matte White in an Undermount Basin
Gloss White — the standard undermount basin finish. Below a white Carrara marble or light engineered stone counter, the Gloss White Scala Arch creates a seamless transition — white counter, white ceramic arch bowl below. The most universally compatible finish for light stone and marble vanity specifications in Pakistan's premium residential and hospitality bathrooms.
Matte White — unique to the Scala Arch in the Bocchi undermount range. Below a matte stone surface, limewash plaster vanity, or matte-finish counter, the Matte White Scala Arch continues the matte surface language from counter to basin interior. Where a Gloss White basin below a matte counter creates a finish contrast at the counter edge, the Matte White Scala Arch maintains matte continuity from counter surface to basin interior — the most material-consistent undermount specification for matte-palette bathrooms. Only available at Sardar & Co in the Bocchi undercounter range on the Scala Arch.
Black (Glossy) — the Glossy Black undermount basin below a light stone counter creates maximum contrast at the basin aperture: a white or light stone counter edge, a gleaming black ceramic arch bowl below. Against dark stone or dark engineered stone, the Glossy Black Scala Arch unifies the counter and basin in the same dark palette with the reflective black ceramic adding depth to the dark counter material. Available on both the Scala Arch and the Bocchi Parma.
Matte Black — the most design-forward undermount basin finish at Sardar & Co. The Matte Black Bocchi Scala Arch is the only Matte Black undercounter basin in the Bocchi range at Sardar & Co. Below a matte black engineered stone counter, a dark slate surface, or a black granite vanity, the Matte Black Scala Arch creates an undermount basin where counter and basin share the same matte dark material register — the most unified dark palette specification available in Bocchi's undercounter range. For Pakistan's premium contemporary bathrooms specifying matte black hardware, matte black accessories, and dark counter materials throughout, this is the undermount basin that cannot be replicated with any other Bocchi product at Sardar & Co. Contact Sardar & Co at 0300-0341288 to enquire about Matte Black availability.
The Arch Bowl Profile — What It Means in Practice
The "Arch" in Bocchi Scala Arch names the basin's interior bowl geometry. A standard undermount basin has a relatively flat bowl floor with steep or vertical sides — a rectangular or oval basin interior in plan. An arch-profile basin has a curved transition from the bowl sides to the floor: the bowl's internal surface curves in an arch from the rim edge down to the drain, without the sharp angle between sidewall and base that flat-bottomed basins create.
In practical terms: the arch profile means the entire bowl interior is a smooth, continuous curved surface. Water and residue drain naturally toward the lowest point along the curved surface. Cleaning is easier — a cloth follows the curve without catching at corners. The visual impression from above the basin aperture (looking down into the basin) is a curved ceramic bowl rather than a rectangular or flat-bottomed tray. For Pakistan's premium bathroom specifiers, the arch profile communicates craftsmanship — a ceramic form that has been shaped, not just moulded in a standard box geometry.
Where the Bocchi Scala Arch Performs Best
Matte-palette premium bathrooms — the only matte-finish undermount Bocchi option
For Pakistan's premium bathrooms specifying matte materials throughout — matte black basin mixer, matte tile walls, matte stone counter — the Matte White or Matte Black Scala Arch is the only Bocchi undercounter basin specification that maintains the matte palette below the counter surface. In a matte black counter with a Matte Black Scala Arch below it, the bathroom vanity reads as a unified dark matte material from the counter top to the basin interior — a design specification that no other Bocchi undercounter product at Sardar & Co can deliver.
Dark stone vanity specifications
For Pakistan's premium vanity counters in dark stone — nero marquina marble, black granite, dark grey quartzite, black engineered stone — the Matte Black Scala Arch creates the undermount specification where basin and counter are the same material register: dark, non-reflective, architectural. The arch bowl below the dark stone counter is not a ceramic insert interrupting the stone specification — it is a dark ceramic form that continues the dark material language below the counter plane.
Four-finish specification flexibility for projects
For Pakistan's interior designers and architects specifying multiple bathrooms across a single project — master bathroom, guest bathrooms, en-suites — the Scala Arch's four-finish range (Gloss White, Matte White, Black, Matte Black) allows a single undermount basin product to serve multiple palette directions across different bathrooms within the same project, maintaining Bocchi brand consistency while adapting to each space's individual finish direction. Contact Sardar & Co at 0300-0341288 for project-scale enquiries.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the Bocchi Scala Arch and Bocchi Parma undercounter basins?
Finishes and bowl profile. Scala Arch: 4 finishes (Gloss White, Matte White, Black, Matte Black), arched bowl profile, 550mm × 410mm, ~210mm bowl drop. Parma: 2 finishes (Gloss White, Black Glossy), standard profile, 560mm × 450mm, ~185mm bowl drop. Choose Scala Arch for matte finishes or four-finish flexibility; choose Parma for standard gloss specifications. Call 0300-0341288 for guidance.
Is the Matte Black Bocchi Scala Arch the only matte-black undercounter basin at Sardar & Co?
Yes — the Matte Black Scala Arch is the only Matte Black undercounter basin in the Bocchi range at Sardar & Co. The Bocchi Parma undercounter offers Gloss Black but not Matte Black. Call 0300-0341288 or visit the Rawalpindi showroom to see the Matte Black Scala Arch in person.
What is the arch bowl profile on the Bocchi Scala Arch?
The interior bowl surface curves in an arch from the rim edge down to the drain — a smooth continuous curved surface without the sharp angle between sidewall and base found in flat-bottomed basins. Water drains naturally along the curve. Cleaning is easier without corners. The arch profile creates a visually crafted ceramic form viewed from above the basin aperture.
Does the Bocchi Scala Arch undermount basin have an overflow?
Yes — integrated overflow confirmed. Routes excess water safely to the drain if the tap runs unattended. Particularly important for undermount installation where the basin interior is less visible from standing height than a countertop basin.
What are the dimensions of the Bocchi Scala Arch?
Width 550mm × Depth (plan) 410mm × Bowl drop below counter approx. 210mm. Confirm precise bowl drop with Sardar & Co at 0300-0341288 before specifying counter thickness and cut-out template dimensions.
